Ho cominciato a mettere musica nel 2010 a Roma e soprattutto nel centro Italia, in milonghe tradizionali. Studiare la musica del tango mi fa sentire un piccolo archeologo ma per fare il musicalizador mi impongo di dimenticare ogni componente centrata su di me e mi trasformo in un terminale che ascolta e previene umore e energia della pista per scegliere in ogni istante il meglio per i ballerini.

I started as a musicalizador in traditional milongas in 2010 in Rome and central Italy.

Studying tango music makes me feel like a sort of archaeologist; yet, being a musicalizador forces me to go beyond myself and focus on every dancer’s needs by taking into high account the ballroom’s mood and energy.

I am a tanguera, DJ and creator of Tango Secrets.

In addition to dj-ing once or twice a week at my own events, I am often invited as a guest DJ at various milongas in UK and encuentros across Europe. My choice of music is traditional. I prefer tangos mainly from the Golden Age, with an occasional tanda from the 20s or 50-60s, or orchestras of the 21st century. I like to vary the mood, pace and overall energy of the dance floor from tanda to tanda, provoking and supporting the interest and enthusiasm of the dancers. I choose only "music for the feet" - the tangos which fill people with desire to dance. When I see empty chairs and a full dance floor, I know that my goal as a DJ has been achieved!”

Sono una tanguera, una dj e la creatrice di Tango Secret.

Oltre a musicalizzare nei miei eventi di Londra, vengo spesso invitata come DJ in varie milonghe nel Regno Unito e in encuentros in tutta Europa.

La mia scelta musicale è tradizionale e preferisco i tanghi principalmente dell'età dell'oro, con una tanda occasionale degli anni '20 o '50 -'60 o orchestre del XXI secolo.

Scelgo solo "la musica per i piedi”, tanghi che 'riempiono' le persone con il desiderio di ballare.

'Quando vedo sedie vuote e una pista da ballo piena, so che il mio obiettivo come DJ è stato raggiunto!'

Da oltre 15 anni insegno il tango ed organizzo sia milonghe stabili che encuentros.

Musicalizzare una serata significa per me creare una connessione tra musica ed emozioni, generando un’onda che accompagni i ballerini in pista per tutta la durata della milonga.

Prediligo brani che spaziano dagli anni ’30 ai ’50, un periodo in cui la maggior parte delle orchestre aveva particolarmente a cuore proprio il ballo e i ballerini.

Essere una ballerina di tango mi aiuta a comprendere meglio la pista, ad entrare in empatia con le tante sottili sfumature ed emozioni che in essa navigano.

Musicalizzo dal 2008 in milonghe stabili italiane e negli ultimi anni ho avuto il piacere di mettere musica in encuentros sia in Italia che all’estero, un piacere che si rinnova ogni volta e mai uguale a sé stesso.

For over 15 years I have been teaching tango and organizing both stable milongas and encuentros.

Musicalizing means for me to create a connection between music and emotions, generating a wave that accompanies the dancers on the dance floor for the duration of the milonga.

I prefer tango that range from the '30s to the '50s, a period in which most orchestras particularly cared about dancing and dancers.

Being a tango dancer helps me to better understand the dance floor, to empathize with the many subtle nuances and emotions that navigate it.

I play tango music since 2008 in stable Italian milongas and more recently I had the pleasure of djing in encuentros both in Italy and abroad, a pleasure that is renewed every time and never equal to itself.

From Nice/France, Céline Devèze is one of the most popular international DJs. She has played her sets at numerous Marathons, Festivals and Encuentros all around Europe and abroad (France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Norway, Sweden, Danmark, England, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Moscow, Canada & Martinique). Céline aims to maintain the energy on the dancefloor while nurturing the emotions of the dancers with a nuanced selection of music from the late 30s to the 50s. She is a DJ with elegance, emotion and energy !

Da Nizza/Francia, Céline Devèze è tra i più popolari Djs internazionali.

Ha musicalizzato in numerose maratone, festivals ed encuentros sia in Europa che all’estero.

Il suo obiettivo è quello di mantenere l’energia in pista e nutrire allo stesso tempo le emozioni dei ballerini proponendo una selezione che spazia dagli anni ’30 fino ai ’50. E’ una dj elegante, sensibile ed energica!

Marco Evola

Maestro di tango da oltre 25 anni, organizzatore di milonghe ed encuentros, Marco è uno dei Dj più apprezzati e conosciuti in Europa.

Propone le sue selezioni musicali dal 1998 sia in Italia che all’estero.

Il suo modo di mettere musica è ispirato alla semplicità della bellezza, perchè nella serata di tango il protagonista non è il Dj, ma i ballerini e il tango.

Tango teacher for over 25 years, organizer of milongas and encuentros, Marco is one of the most popular and well-known DJs in Europe.

He has been offering his musical selections since 1998 both in Italy and abroad.

His way to put music is inspired by the simplicity of beauty, because in the milonga the protagonist is not the Dj, but the dancers and the tango.

Dani el Ingeniero

Daniele Cecchi (Dani "El Ingeniero") è stato il DJ resident della milonga "El Bailongo de los Domingos" al Salon Cascabelito di Roma ed è spesso in consolle in altre milonghe di Roma, tra cui le milonghe dell’associazione Traspié (prima a San Pancrazio, poi alla “Cripta”) o di altre città italiane. Ha già partecipato come DJ all'incontro "Roma Milonguera" negli anni 2016, 2018 e 2019. La musica proposta è quella più adatta al ballo nello stile milonguero, musica degli ultimi anni '30 e degli anni '40 con occasionali escursioni in periodi più recenti, ma sempre nel rispetto della più pura tradizione. Una nota caratteristica delle selezioni è sicuramente l'impiego di un video proiettore per annunciare le tande e fornirne il dettaglio (orchestra, titoli, cantante, anno di registrazione) e per mostrare i video delle cortine musicali e di alcuni rari filmati di Tango disponibili. Con Dani “El Ingeniero” … “sai cosa balli”.

Daniele Cecchi (Dani “El Ingeniero”) has been the resident DJ of the milonga "El Bailongo de los Domingos", which was held at the Salon Cascabelito in Rome; he often plays music in other milongas in Rome, including San Pancrazio (recently replaced by the “Cripta”), and other Italian milonga’s. He was a DJ at the meeting "Roma Milonguera" in 2016, 2018 and 2019. The music he offers is the most suitable for dancing in the “milonguero” style, music from the late '30s and' 40s with sporadic incursions in more recent periods, but always in respect of the purest tradition. A distinctive feature of the selections is definitely the use of a video projector to provide details on the “tanda” in progress (orchestra, titles, singer, recording year, pictures) and to show the videos of the “cortinas” and some rare Tango clips, so that “you know what you are dancing”
